Home of the Black & White Shield for the 10th consecutive year for Top Hawkes Bay Club.  Also winners of the Nash Cup for first round honours in the Premier division and the 2004 HB Women's championship

The Taradale Rugby Club is community based being formed in 1897 and grown over the years to where the current membership of 750 use the clubs facilities situated at Carters Arms Park in Guppy Road Taradale.

Taradale Netball Club who are affilliated to the club and use our facilities are looking extremely strong this year with six teams entered into the competition with the top team being coached by long time loyal club player Kim Hermanson.

Being community based the facilities are a very important sporting and leisure centre available for the residents of Taradale.

At Taradale Rugby & Sports we are looking forward to the 2005 rugby season with a very focused commitment

The Taradale Rugby Club fields 6 Senior teams - Premier,2nd's, 3rd's 4ths and 1 Colts grade together with a senior womens team.  The biggest Club in Hawkes Bay being the only club to field a team in every division.

The Club is also very strong in Junior Grade rugby with 20 teams playing in the local competition each Saturday morning.

Taradale Rugby has also administered the local Taradale High School rugby for the past four years with coaches,managers and equipment being made available to the School.

Netball is also well represented within the club with 6 teams playing during the season.

The Taradale Rugby Club is built on 105 years of proud history, history that has provided the shares of successes, disappointments, achievements, hard luck stories - all of which have contributed to the strength of today's club and reflected in the modern facilities situated at Carters Arms Park.

As a sporting organization we are proud and priviledged to be community based, which means having an identity within a growing suburban community.  We are ideally placed, and able, to provide an important sporting and social link within the Taradale Community.
