3 Hawkes Bay Players have been selected to attend the New Zealand Under 19 first trial in Palmerston North from 9–13 December 2006.

Following this trial a reduced squad will be selected to attend the final trial from 1–7 February 2007. 

A squad of 26 players will be named at this trial to attend the IRB Under 19 Championships in Belfast 4–21 April 2007.

The three HB players are

• Zachary Guildford
