Judicial hearings: Clint Newland and Jarrad Hoeata |

Hawke’s Bay prop Clint Newland has been cited for allegedly punching or striking an opponent in the Air New Zealand Cup match between Hawke’s Bay and Wellington in Napier on Saturday 4 August. Newland was cited by Citing Commissioner David Gray for the incident involving Wellington prop Neemia Tialata in the 13th minute of the match.
In a separate Air New Zealand Cup match, Taranaki No 8 Jarrad Hoeata has been cited for a dangerous tackle or dangerous charging in the game between North Harbour and Taranaki in Albany on Saturday 4 August.
Hoeata was cited by Citing Commissioner Mike O’Leary for an incident involving North Harbour fullback George Pisi in the third minute of the match.
Newland and Hoeata will appear in two separate judicial hearings at the New Zealand Rugby Union offices in Wellington on Wednesday 8 August.
Hoeata’s hearing is at 2.00pm and Newland’s hearing is scheduled to start at 4.00pm. |
