Sent through some of the questions posted on here to Aayden Clarke and Peter Russell.
Got email back from Aayden today, says he's signed a 7 month contract to play for a club called Prato just out of Florence. We wish him all the best.
Questions from magpierugby.com members 1. Best away ground to play at? AMI Stadium or Lambton Square, Wairoa 2. Toughest opponent? Auckland 3. Best looking Cheerleaders? Canterbury
4. Team you most enjoy beating? Shoeys Snickers (one of our Magpies mini teams)
5. Who were your heroes growing up? Rocky and Karate Kid
6. What rule in Rugby would you change to improve the game? Make it compulsory for teams to perform at least three “walls” per game when awarded penalties. Old School
7. What do you do to relax? (if Golf, what is your handicap?) As little as possible. Barbie and a quiet beer
8. Venue that put on the best aftermatch feed is at? No feeds at the aftermatch anymore. We get food in our changing rooms after the game and the chicken burgers that we had at every home game were outstanding. Who made those and what was that sauce in them?
9. The coldest showers were at? Pretty good at this level. Any luke warm water is good after Dearnsy makes us jump in ice baths for 1 minute for our recovery!!
10. Best player you ever played against at school? Johnson Waiwai – the best centre in Hawkes Bay when I was at Wairoa College. A natural talent that would have gone far if he had wanted to.
11. Who’s the loudest snorer in the team? I thought Tom Symes was bad but even he struggles when he is rooming with Sona. Sona definitely.
12. What Union has the flashest changing rooms and what about them makes them so? Probably AMI Stadium (Jade). The personal space and lockers that they provide are big and there is plenty of room. The Cake tin is pretty good as well.
13. What type of music do they like to listen to on the team bus? George Naoupu has some good mixes on his ipod. Mainly old school stuff and sometime a bit of the new tunes. Definitely no pop, or metal and Ben Batger tries to get some of his country and western stuff on sometimes. He is a big Garth Brooks fan. |
