Who's going to get picked by the Canes and who's got a good chance in the draft?

Well...it's a tough one again this year, and after last years addition of Clint Newland at the Highlanders, Zac, Hika and Micheal at the Canes, Bryn and Danny over at the Blues, it was a great year for these Magpie players. Why on gods earth didn't Jason Shoemark get a contract is one of lifes little mysteries, and if he misses out again this year some coaches need to be shot.
So here's Hawkeye's thoughts on who may get a contract and where.....

Zac Guilford: Hurricanes. Same as last year, had another huge season, and how the hell he does it is beyond me as it looks like he's going to get smashed by the fatties and comes out the other end unscathed.

Israel Dagg: Hurricanes/Chiefs. Not a 100 on this, but Canes have former Magpie Jane who is in top form and a number of replacements. so Hawkeye will stick a lazy tenner on Dagg to be picked up in the draft this year and play for the Chiefs.

Bryn Evans: Blues. Pat Lam was in the crowd the other day and I think he was checking up on the big fella.

Matt Berquist: Highlanders. Canes will have Ripia and Kirkpatrick, Highlanders and sweet fa....so here's hoping the form sticks like mud to this guy and he gets picked up in the draft.

Karl Lowe: Canes/Chiefs. This guy should be called up for the EOYT in Hawkeyes opinion. Ben massive this year, heart of a horse. The Canes may pick him, and so they should because they need him. Masoe's isn't a Opensides asshole and Waldrom was outplayed by Lowe this year. The Cheifs need someone as well, and they would get the form Openside of the ANZC.

Jason Shoemark: Canes/Chiefs. OK, seem to be pushing for a few Chiefs spots for our boys, but I think he will go into the draft and be picked up pretty dam smartly but the big wigs at the Chiefs. He seems out of favour at the Canes, and with Smith taking the 13 jersey there I hope the Cheifs put Shoemark in 13 and Kahui on the Wing....problem solved. Simple shit this picking teams ah?!

Hika Elliot: Canes: No way in hell he won't be picked by Cooper. Talk around the Dane Coles will get his spot...bugger off. Coles is a decent Hooker, but he needs more beef on the frame and more game time in the ANZC. Coles may get picked up in the draft, but Hika is good to go and should buy a house down in Wellington cause the boy has a long future with the Canes.

Sona Taumalolo: Chiefs. Well...reading the hbtoday it seems the big fella is a shoe in for the Chiefs. Good shit! Should have had a contract last year.

George Naoupu: Highlanders. A tough one this, the man has been in bollocking form this year, has made a shed load of metres of the back of the scrum. Been huge in defence. Here's hoping the boys down south think he's worth it cause Hawkeye sure does.
